The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 可能是两版的观影间隔太短了，看第二版总觉得更难熬一些。主线完全一样，最明显的区别是配角们被弱化了，不仅是镜头刻画的削减，整个画面构图也花哨许多，大多人物被融进了背景当中，甚至到了分不清谁是谁的地步。增了些为剧情服务的铺垫，但... 依然很离谱啊。

Unlike Bruce Lee’s martial arts, actors fail to express themselves truly through body movements or singing, although Spielberg's mise-en-scene nails it, the 2021 version of WSS is far from a good remake. Still love it for speaking up for the minorities.

如果知道最早的音乐剧《西区故事》其实是脱胎于罗密欧与朱丽叶的情况下，大体上就能很好地理解整个故事了。老实说此片的镜头调度可谓是一流的，相比老版电影真正做到了把西区故事改编成一部电影的任务而不是依旧保留强烈的舞台剧感，古典戏剧的故事内核竟有那么一丢丢贴近美国现在多种族融合的现状，不过同时作为一部歌舞片，此片的音乐ememem……
男主rif对比老版毫无男性气概，声音又难听，鲨鱼帮老大也不如老版的有气质。实在是年度翻拍灾难。
刚开始看的我：不就是美国移民版罗密欧与朱丽叶嘛，恋爱脑能奈我何。看到结尾的我：可恶还是被他们感动到了，年轻人就是要气盛啊！整体效果舞蹈优于歌曲。

《合约情人》北美任贤齐版本，文化的冲突，谎言的背景都挺契合当下题材，挺适合国内再次翻拍，剧本很好
