The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 自由主义爽片，概念没问题，但是剪辑节奏和转折都太理所当然了，好多人物都很有问题…
拍的过于立场化了，不喜，估计南非的观众口味决定的吧。
作为改编可能还算不错了，整体还是不推荐给演员粉丝以外的人的类型。
影片很长，很真实的男同性恋现状，一边生气一边无奈。“如果有一个喜欢百合的男神，有一个喜欢bl的女神，那是不是就没有对错之分了。”爱没有对错，同性恋也没有。
温情满满的劫持人质事件，最后曼德拉出狱了，这是改庆祝还是……

很好看也走心的类型片，完成度蛮高的，视听上一点不马虎，虽然剧本明显有一个套路，但拍的确实牵动人心，主要是节奏掌控很不错。这个剧本底子总想起《热天午后》，最后结尾想起《虎豹小霸王》。

比起爱情，反而有被男主的好友那份善良感动到频频戳中泪点，真的是很温暖的朋友啊，知道男主是同后多少有些交往上的细节变化也很真实。而男主一开始那份对自己的厌恶，努力想尝试回到“正常”，种种都带着现实意味。女主也是亚撒西到不行。枫珠和tsubasa的角色也是很有cp感啊，好喜欢温泉那段豁出去的吻戏
