The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 不错啊，制作精良，谢苗最近片子很多，而且都还可圈可点，不是烂片，未来可期！
说画面的有一些玻璃心了，本来就是描述犯罪场景要多惊艳？反而觉得这种电信诈骗的电影因该多宣传，在中国被电话诈骗的不在少数！而破案率还不足5%！！被骗的家庭有多难熬？多艰辛？国内你们关注过吗？真的是一部很好的题材！
都算认真吧。有点像清朝版扫黑，只是清朝惨得多了，动作还算可以。
看完就知道为什么评分这么低了，不打低分不是中国人，这算辱华了吧
整体还是不错，就是电影画面调色有些过了，谢苗的动作戏还是可以的
剧情的转折设计得很巧妙，但只能通过主角的笑来体现出现转折了，根本没能从剧情中看出来反派头子是如何被发现鸦片藏在哪里的。另外，个人英雄主义太强烈了，一个人打几百个，要不要这么假，如果是抗战片，是不是要放进来手撕鬼子了啊？感觉这个评分太过虚高，一点也不令人感动，浪费了这份悲壮的历史题材！另外演林则徐的这人，也太胖了吧，面无表情，看不出什么演技，换个人演林则徐，效果会好很多！
算网大里面的上乘之作了，谢苗是打算一直拍网大么？不拍院线电影或者网剧、电视剧了么？😅
不太行，孤胆英雄式报仇，弄了个寂寞，有那时间，窝点早撤光了
这是值得观赏学习借鉴的电影，大家可以通过电影详细展示看到电话网络骗术如何施展。主角（前警察）的妻子被电话诈骗损失惨重，主角呈孤胆英雄之雄威，冒命悬一线之风险，打入诈骗集团之核心，一举击破活跃于东亚地区的某大型诈骗集团，帮了警察大忙，报了一己之私仇。最后被警局破格复用，专门打击电话网络诈骗犯罪分子。
男主各种拼了老命都感觉很废的样子到底是为什么...全程无语“哈？就这？”，无论是犯罪部分还是抓人部分都挺像过家家...金武烈演挺好...
谢苗演技在线，动作优美，虽然剧情简单老套，希望能接到更好的片子
4.5分，电影本身4星，多0.5星给这个题材。看到烧鸦片那里真的泪目，既悲愤又痛心，真的要铭记历史，吸取教训。剧情紧凑流畅不拖沓，各种反转也很自然，没有故弄玄虚，看得很畅快。谢苗的演技真的大有进步了，打戏一如既往的精彩。杜玉明和姚橹两个老戏骨也给影片增添了不少亮点。看得出导演编剧演员都很认真在对待这部影片。真的希望更多的导演和演员愿意拍这样主题的影片，张哲导演的《血战虎门》和《辛弃疾1162》都不错的。
蛮不错的网大，动作设计凌厉，拳拳到肉，画面调色有老港片那味儿了，有《黄飞鸿》《霍元甲》的既视感，谢苗长大了，开始走他爸爸李连杰的老路了，最近连看了几部他演的网大《大汉十三将》《东北警察故事》，都还不错，故事正能量，故事编排在网大里是出类拔萃的，不过有一点，谢苗功夫不错，但演戏比较用力，无论是大汉将领耿恭还是虎门里的角色都是一个表演风格，需要琢磨琢磨演技。本片走的是传统公案的路子，林则徐跟江湖侠士合作查处鸦片，主角出狱那段是按照《长安十二时辰》的路子来的，后面破案的过程也像，最后的大决战我以为是谢苗大战英国大力士，这样就套路了，结果是挑战杜玉明老师，嗯,是我套路了
拍的挺不错的，人物性格挺鲜明，武打动作也利索
剧本扎实，前后呼应，最后提高立意的同时，不忘警醒当世，做强国守初心不简单
难得的一部电信诈骗犯罪的片子，骗子的套路和演技以及行骗的热情，看了觉得很可怕，现实生活就是这样的吧，希望天下无骗! 配角金贤秀把骗子的张狂和变态演活了……

可以啊。第一次看虎门销烟的电影，之前都看的是纪录片
这个片名为啥不直接翻译成电话诈骗，惊魂听着以为恐怖，实则犯罪片，只是打斗场面也不够惊魂。天天diss中国看习惯了，经费不够吧也不审查下文化背景。不过看韩影，好的是演员演技能打，中坚力量小角色演员都出色，中国的casting导演制片人就知道挑流量。
