Arkham, 1975: Jonathan Davis' father has disappeared. His tracks lead to Germany, to the Swabian-Franconian Forest where he was stationed after the Second World War. brutashell review - 'Filmed in black and white and primarily spoken in German, it is obvious that Die Farbe did not have a huge budget to work with. Effects are minimal and the cast is utterly unknown. I should point out that these are all good things, and work very much in the film's favour. There is no CGI to rely on, no name actors to carry it. Rather, the filmmakers do the unthinkable: they create a genuine atmosphere of unimaginable dread and unspeakable horror, using shadow, suggestion and rare splashes of that Nameless colour in a few select frames. In short, they did a damn good job. Die Farbe is subtle in its mounting horror, nurturing a dark dread deep in your bowels with every shot. All of the best and most stomach-turningly distressing films I’ve ever seen have come out of Germany: M, The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari, The White Ribbon, and now this one. Leave it to the Germans. We know how to gross you out on the deepest psychological levels.
Lovecraft worshippers and devotees of German Expressionism alike, take heed: seek out and view this film at your earliest possible convenience. It’s a dark, noisome little gem that will squirm into your subconscious and lay its eggs in your sanity. Hey, not everyone gets the honour of being a host organism for the Elder Gods, you know.'

呃，不太懂为啥夸成这样，就一部很故弄玄虚神神叨叨的处女作。重心都放在了闪回的重合和双线叙事的剪辑上，说实话还挺学生电影的，尤其是两个小时闪回比重基本要和现实部分的叙述持平了，整体结构拖泥带水非常笨重，起承转合基本上都是靠科尔曼女士的怼脸特写撑起来的，以致于没大看出Ferrante的风格，反之却有一种英式的Sally Rooney的感觉？黑发达妹和海滩度假真的好搭，但是她这个角色其实可以再深挖一点，在这里完全就是服务主角有点可惜了，不过没看过原著也不大好评价，之后可能会补。ps.阿尔芭脸啥时候肿成这样了...
亲子关系本来就是欠债讨债，而且女主这性格居然会生第二个娃，也是神奇

做任何事（爱和性）都要慎重。
早育毁一生。导演技巧不是很高。女主角特写，pov, 特写again, 配上一个音乐来force emotions。好多莫名的empty air。摄影构图普通，晚上的室内光不好看。
这部比类似题材的《正发生》和《女人的碎片》时间跨度更大且延展性更强，女主家里三代女性的关系处境、追求事业平衡、探寻心灵伴侣、对当初出走事件的情绪理解和过后的愈合、甚至拿走娃娃的原因，每一个拿出来讲，都有一大段的理解和感悟。
碎片化的叙事一如按下不表的情感，甚至来龙去脉都不再重要。直观地体验那份焦虑和抓狂。配乐非常加分！对Maggie刮目相看~
喜欢电影的一些感觉（费兰特文字描写的感觉，拉出来一个片段是值得回味的，整个一起就让人吃不消）。女性在家庭，母职，爱情/欲望和自我之间的拉扯。费兰特不是个特别擅长处理细腻情感的人（她没有一个清晰的自我去化解这些），她的感情都是浓稠的一块儿，但她可以把这种浓稠呈现出来。

有费兰特的小说在前，以文学方式看不断交叠的闪回就说得通了。当摄像机带你凑近了看，你就能理解，这是在讲婚育中不同年龄、阶层背景的女人都不可能做好母职。更搞不清自己作为一个女人，如果做不好一个好母亲，是如何痛苦的。
3.5/以我浅显的见识能识别出是费兰特的小说底子，说明她写作关注的母题真是没有变啊，浓缩的现代版埃琳娜故事。很喜欢达妹最后在沙发上问lena“有时候会觉得很忧郁，这一切会过去吗”，听完之后心很酸。
喜欢。拍得剪得演得都好。 惊悚、疯癫、压抑、欣悦、愧疚——母职的幽灵没有结论。即便是个“老”故事，也值得被一讲再讲。

Struggling to decide whether I like the film, the entire casting, or Maggie Gyllenhaal. A bit rough at the beginning. The best cast credit card I've seen. The score is so good that even I noticed it, also Peter Sarsgaard's chest hair... I think I love this film.
全片大脸盘子怼镜头看似情绪溢出荧幕，实际上更像一场令观众溺水的导演个人秀，加上费兰特独有的那不勒斯婊味，给人一种科尔曼为导演抗下失控灾难的悲悯味道。
要用多大的力气才能一个接一个地做出理性而正确的生活选择呢。电影把她尖刺外壳下封闭的内心拍出了悬疑感，猜疑的过程也多少阻滞了情绪的流动。娃娃嘴里爬出虫来那一幕真是个触目惊心的隐喻
喜欢，作为处女作可太棒了！片头和配乐都很惊艳，奥利维娅影后级演技，艾德哈里斯出场竟令人十分感动，这老小子还在演戏呢！故事讲得曲折迂回却不失真情，也没有过度陷入在琐碎的日常里，吉伦哈尔家出息！
3.0，科尔曼的哭戏啊，令人怜惜又坚忍不拔，华语圈谁能比肩呢？如果可以把现时的情景设计得更精妙一些，影片或许会更成功，不要低估观众的共情力和思考能力，导演想讲的其实在现在的叙事中已经有所提现，过去的种种呈现显得太过刻意。云淡风轻但时而澎湃，就是我们对情感创伤和心路历程最贴切的抚慰和亲昵。
看了几个影评，仍然没怎么看懂…但是配乐超级好，很喜欢。
