The IMAX "Cosmic Voyage" film was made as a public service with sponsorship by the Smithsonian Air and Space museum. On DVD, borrowed from my local public library, it plays at just over 30 minutes with Morgan Freeman supplying a pleasing narrative. As one would expect from an IMAX film, the image quality is superb and the Dolby 5.1 sound track is very well done. Simulated cosmic explosions shake your walls! That is, if you have a good powered subwoofer in your system. The film takes a very useful approach to examining the size of the universe, from tiny sub-atomic particles to the vastness of the whole universe. (Fortunately, when God created the Universe he had dispatched a few angels with video cameras at different vantage points so we get to see actual footage from several billion years ago.) The film starts in Venice, where the discovery of the telescope originated, and uses a one-meter hoop as a reference point, then gradually goes larger by powers of 10, e.g. 10 meters, 100, 1000, etc until we can see the whole universe. Then it takes the opposite journey, going smaller by powers of 10 until be see inside sub-atomic particles. The story is well-woven with beautiful effects created especially for this film. It is entertaining and educational at the same time. All of "oldsters" can enjoy it for the scientific history we are already familiar with, and all the "youngsters" can enjoy it for the educational supplement it provides. Overall a masterful film. Any numerical "rating" of "Cosmic Voyage" is meaningless. If one is looking for a superb film about our universe and modern theories of its formation, this one is hard to beat. 迪士尼注入的观念还真是与时俱进啊。关于家庭那一部分很暖心，而关于自我的价值的重视也挺巧妙的。整体算是阖家团圆向的片子，没什么大亮点也没啥缺点。
故事情节和《百年孤独》很类似，哥伦比亚、内战、女性主导家族、家族里有离群索居的预言家、完美的女人等等，最后屋子又恢复魔法了这点真的很无语，所以女主和姥姥的能力一样都是魔法屋吗？很莫名其妙。私以为，最后屋子修缮好，家人都失去魔法从而依靠自身开始像普通人一样生活更有意义。
本片唱的歌也是数不胜数，许多矛盾通过一首歌就解决了，略显生硬。
全家欢版“亚当斯一家”，然而Madrigal和亚当斯家族之间差了有一万个CoCo家那么远。
迪士尼跟漫威一样，十年前的电影和今天的电影没有任何区别，同样的框架换一下角色就能反复拍反复拍；除了几段歌曲稍微能听之外，看不到一点创新或是巧思。

标准迪士尼家庭矛盾，但是后半段也太烂了，这玩意也能获奖。
就，不知道故事主旨到底在讲啥。美国迪士尼想讲的家庭，和当下这个社会的家庭感觉已经很割裂了。为了某件事所以事情办砸了然后再通过自己的努力圆回来的剧情，也不知道到底是在讲个人英雄主义呢还是讲家庭集体主义呢

很多评论说里面有政治隐喻以及封建观念的披露，也许只是隔靴搔痒，一笔带过。整个家族的形象，这么多人物，也没有在这100分钟内塑造完整，有点脸盲了。
