The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it?     极具感染力、极具真实感的一部传记电影，对信仰的热忱与虔诚贯穿于整个人生。过程中两人也经历过魔鬼的试探，都曾有过堕落，但都始终没有动摇过自己对上帝的信仰，最终也在上帝的感召下重新找回自我。演技过瘾，尤其女主，从青年到老年，把角色刻画得——神了。不过由于影片的核心主题与基督教有关，这样的题材不一定在国内受欢迎吧，很多人并没有实际体验过，所以比较难感同身受信徒对于信仰的那种炙热的激情，评论里很多朋友显然没看懂。
