剧情介绍

The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances.     真实事件改编，曾号称美国四大电视网之一的基督教电视传教网兴起与衰落的故事。本来应该是个有趣的题材，导演的政治立场太凸显，爱憎过于分明，未用心去经营剧情，只是用漫画化的手法去表现，让影片成了政治片。不过劳模姐在影片中的表现可圈可点，给影片挽回一些颜面。

    以復古、誇張，表現著他們的貪婪、虛偽，試圖去觸及諸多議題，都只是匆匆一掃而過，反而削弱了最關鍵的女性主義的表達，一度讓我想到Tim Burton那部失敗的《大眼睛》。Jessica Chastain的表演讓人夢回《相助》，當然這一回的角色更加複雜，她的表演也更加成熟和有層次，尤其是老年部分的演繹，完全沒有她本人的影子。
