The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 整体还是很温馨轻松的，不知为什么这是惊悚片。最刺激的镜头不过是反派把主角的车蹭下了公路。墨西哥人民很友好呀，车只可以随便“借”。
剧情平铺直叙少亮点，叙事节奏也比较温吞，故事展现得很温柔，也可以看出作为年老牛仔的东木想展示的表达。牛仔迟暮，但是雄心仍旧。

确实不算好。“you are a real cowboy”,这种台词说给谁，都觉得耻度很大，除了90+的伊斯特伍德。&耄耋之年的公路恋爱，依然说服力Max（《牡丹花下》翻拍换成科林法瑞尔，极大影响了剧情信度）。总之看见他就高兴，五星吧。

7.5/10，东木创造的温情时刻实在太动人了，相对于《骡子》而言甚至放弃了危机情形的设置。偶尔出现的“拦路者”不但被剧情轻松化解，而且成为了情感构建的“催化剂”，因此“哭泣的男人”比单纯的“strong”更具有力量。
东木好像在说自己骑了好多的马开过好久的车，如今男子气概早就不重要了，真想找个地方好好的安静的生活啊。
舒适小品，多一星给我的英雄，东木jo太郎。
东木真的老了，他真的不该再演了，神态动作都非常迟缓的男主实在让人不忍直视。这个故事也偏陈旧，重复，毫无吸引力的流水账。远的不说，和前年的《理查德朱维尔的悲歌》的稳准狠相比，都天壤之别。
在平庸的故事里也只有老爷子可以讲出牛仔的浪漫，但是小男孩太拉垮了……
我真的好喜欢东木啊，但这部里他一直以来的那种暴躁迟暮英雄反差温柔太直白了就真的只剩普普通通的公路电影。只喜欢前十分钟，但就只为了骂完老板之后那个塑料躺椅上的日落，我也还觉得值得。
在一个老人眼中再没有大风大浪。顺势而为，随遇而安。冲91岁的伊斯特伍德，我愿意五星打满。
