The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 最油膩的其實是配樂，但不妨礙在國產電影維度交出了一份好的成績。對於習慣逃避真實城市風情和缺乏中產描繪的中國商業電影，那份在地性和不做作都挺珍貴，最喜歡的是一些對白的subtext寫法以及結尾周野芒的solo演出，情緒高潮竟是由副線周野芒一人完成，且並不失效，這其實滿破格。兩岸三地女性新導演們在文本角度碾壓男導演們幾乎已是客觀事實。
看到有网友说“半小时弃了”，真为他感觉惋惜，因为真正的主角真正的核心，直到1小时21分才正式开始。2小时40分钟，也担心过白费时间，但并没有。那种在一分一秒中，犹如海面涨潮一般被层层展现的真相、被慢慢堆叠的情感，在最后轰然崩塌了。

多层反转，谁还不是个工具人呢？
来之前看过一些影评都夸，声称女性主义电影，进去直呼上当，头一次见围绕男主角为第一视角的女性主义。非得睡同一个男人才能将几个女人联系起来吗？想不通。
印度电影就是每每让我的第一感叹都是怎么这么长！
一万六的鞋求个欢喜，不合适断舍离；
反转出乎意料却也合情合理。种姓、女性权益、放纵的公权力、操纵媒体……说教味有点重，但问题一直不解决只好一直说下去，至少还能说，但似乎只能说。
