客观评价来说，影片的轻重点失衡；整体观感略微有些平淡。不过这恰好在形上已经有了七八分司马辽太郎的感觉；可惜通篇没有太多藏于细微处的壮烈感，也许是受制于水平，有些剧情，台词和镜头可以打磨的更好一些，神上与司马辽太郎的文章只有二三分相似，属实可惜。

和大多数文学改编一样，处理不好“文字-影像”的语境变更（比如人物独白文字变人物旁白声音，想象化作实际可见的影像和实际可听的声音，前者时常得面对与观者预设的区别，后者就更像是表演情绪、心理的偷懒取巧）、用着故作姿态的远景和推轨、搭一些煽情的配乐。

【3】感觉只在文本层面对70年代虐杀电影（重点自然是《德州电锯杀人狂》）做了解构性尝试，但整体形式和语气则距之甚远，没有那种狂野的激情，仍属当代独立恐怖产品，优点在于没有端架子，需要时有在努力制造幽默。
对于原著作出了一种解读。让人想再看一遍原著。
