The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? fran来演麦克白夫人真是有生之年！非要鸡蛋里挑骨头的话就是配乐有点弱
非常好且非常有特色的改编。首先音乐、布景、服装都极尽简单，尤其是以几何线条般的建筑布景，简洁有力又眼前一亮。其次摄影大量使用中景和特写，对光影的运用也是一绝，此消彼长后观众所有的注意力都集中在演员的表演上，而本片台词又较晦涩（毕竟莎翁名剧），大大考验演员的台词功底和脸部表现力，也大大考验观众对文艺片的耐受程度（我不会告诉你我看的那场放到一半就有人走了），但主要演员都做得很好，尤其是麦克白夫人，那表演，IMAX大特写都能扛住，我觉得科恩嫂今年又要奥提了……
把舞台剧直接搬上大荧幕大概就是这样了，摄影真是绝了，不过总觉得丹泽尔华盛顿有种违和感

极简场景和摄人光影是本片独特气质的最大贡献者，其余部分没什么亮点。空镜最震撼
科恩采用表现主义，却又把古典表现得过于古典，反而少了一些新意
本身气质过于质朴的科恩嫂演个一嘴“呀呀呀”的女警和杀人放火为女报仇的妈妈太贴切，但太不适合毒辣狠决的麦克白夫人了，且麦氏夫妇确实也是太老迈年高了。前半小时就在这种不断吐槽随时准备切换的心态中过去了，但后来还是坐定认真看完了，所有古堡中的场景，光影对比、建筑线条之美、人与建筑的关系与比例、色彩（精妙的黑白都五色炫目）、构图、音响⋯⋯所有这些手段，都太有古典美了！太迷人了！有点儿像看黑泽明二流作品的感觉，惊异于作者用心至此。但技术只是技术，所以不忍心三星，四星不能再多。
科恩兄弟分开后就刻意去掉喜怒无常荒诞的命运巧合和暴力的黑色幽默了，唯一喜欢的就是古早味的美术摄影了。
（4.4/10）乔尔·科恩的《麦克白的悲剧》是对莎士比亚戏剧一次极具风格化的影像呈现，仅此而已。
舞台劇的獨白，雖是黑白但是每幀都能感受到畫面帶來的鮮明感！每位演員的演技可以說是相當在線，整個佈景也是相當了得。
