The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 适合吐槽，而且看了不糟心。所以非常适合一群人看的时候吐槽
前半部还是比较正常的，到后面真就是到了手撕鬼子的程度了。不过两大肌肉硬汉看的还是很过瘾的哈哈
放弃抵抗，接受了印度电影坦荡荡的离谱设定之后觉得非常好看（他们就是要唱歌，就是要平地起跳三米五，主角就是打成筛子还不死，你就不要跟他们犟了，看热闹也很快乐！）
他们笑你是烂片之王，在我眼里，你是演过《离开拉斯维加斯》《火柴人》《鸟人》《空中监狱》《变脸》《勇闯夺命岛》《战争之王》《天气预报员》《居家男人》《天使之城》等经典、佳作（有多少演员一生能有超过十部佳片呢？），陷入泥潭后，没有放弃，就算在泥潭里爬，也一直在前行的汉子。你不是烂片之王，只是好剧本没有找上你。
撇开情节，有血有肉，又型又酷，载歌载舞，看得尽兴，视觉奇观，印度神片该有的样子。
凯奇演凯奇，荒诞又离奇。不少调侃及自我讽刺，主线简单串联任务冒险动作搞笑面面俱到还有大量彩蛋及致敬串联代表作，尤其是辉煌90年代。为凯奇量身打造若非本人主演则无如此出彩，无人可替代。更搞笑的是帕斯卡的富豪充当现实中狂热迷对凯奇如数家珍收藏品太离谱。除自我娱乐外，更无忽略喜剧背后的荒诞与现实问题，在力不从心及时过境迁后，经历个人危机起伏如何找回自己/做自己，凯奇演自己，讽刺为钱工作，大方承认如今娱乐业早已变态扭曲人性，做任务不如往日反闹笑话，做英雄反成丑角。自己消费外，不仅是角色重振旗鼓更是有观看意义，只有认真审视及反思自己，如02年代表作《改编剧本》解构自己，才能“演好自己”。这类题材会随好莱坞改朝换代而出现，解构及经典角色再创作，若有续集建议多拉几个过气大明星一起“自己演自己”。
宝莱坞的工业水平可以的，3个小时非常流畅，很无脑爽片。但也就仅此而已了
我就说怎么一股巴霍巴利王那味儿，原来是一个导演。俩人直接一顿帅气的配合把驻印英军一锅端了！虽然是抗英神剧，但是就是看的人热血沸腾，爽就完事了……

看预告以为是相爱相杀搅基片，看前半以为是土豪金主一掷千金只为和心爱的过气名演员一起过生日要是有机会甚至想一起拍片走上人生巅峰的搅基爽文哪知其实是人人都爱帕丁顿熊...
白富美做英奸把全家全营杀了跟野男人走了，这就是被殖民的终极幻想，完美情人。 特效还是不错的，这值得肯定。
比起巴霍巴利王的剧情差点，但是摄影和特效又上了一个台阶，看完才发觉是部印度红片。
像是小时候看的黄飞鸿，家国大义的主题和动作奇观的表现方式有不少的相同点。只是印度味实在太浓了，不是很对胃口。

关于印度的一切都是听来的且偏负面。但是对待“电影”，我觉得他们还是相当认真的。有很多需要我们学习的地方。
俗烂的凯奇 VS 逗逼的凯奇 VS 进击的凯奇。不想做救世主的落魄影帝不是合格的间谍，不想做艺术家的极道大佬不是合格的厨子，木有基情迸发的桥段不是好故事。明面上是一本正经的自我调侃+情怀粉电影，骨子里用的还是喜剧版《飓风营救》的老梗。海报设计与同期上映的《瞬息全宇宙》鸡血拼刺刀。对于凯奇大爷而言，只有烂片没有烂演技，真的。最后，凯奇大爷究竟曾经欠了多少钱......

都豁出去演这种自我吐槽的片子了剧本能不能有点要求啊，无聊成这样，白瞎了
原來是凱奇年下水仙大片（誤）凱奇和Pedro的化學反應好奇妙哈哈哈哈！爲什麽cue星戰的台詞不安排給銀河系奶爸！最後的戲中戲也好好玩，把看似很沒道理扔刀動作戲變成Drama的一部分就突然合理了。好萊塢的下限在哪裏還有待觀察，但帕丁頓熊世界第一是不容質疑的真理。
如果，你不要太去计较各种开挂的设定和画面，这部电影还是很有看头的：故事线索令人亲近，且叙事节奏不错，双主的设定，反转的铺设，使电影故事的内容既丰富又有层次，加之画面场面恢宏，商业大片的派头……然后就是令人上头的歌舞，而这竟然让我渐渐能够理解并欣赏这种歌舞对于人物情绪情感表达的作用。唯一有点不适应的就是时常达到三小时……
