The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 电影版解释了巨魔的故事，为什么他们喜欢靠近城市，感觉不如单集冒险那么紧凑，但是讲完整了。
剧情还是非常不错的，内容丰富好看，值得一刷。

我可爱死这个小女孩了。但是这个电影版，人类和巨魔的关系得到了缓和，下一季难道要出新反派？
结尾很感动，巨魔身上都长出了叶子开出了花。每个人都渴望母爱，甚至花费一生的时间在“找妈妈”。

巨魔想进城看望妈妈有什么错呢，了原来就是人类打扰了人家的生活。机灵又勇敢的小朋友们最可爱了，秃顶警长真是够了…
一如既往的画风和设定 在这样丰富的背景之下 故事内核显得有些儿戏 仓促的结局减分不少 等待第三季
希尔达重拍了《进击的巨人》和《沼泽地的女儿》，爱产生力量，爱战胜一切。

这部系列动画本就源自于希尔达与巨魔这个概念，前两季中巨魔与人类的矛盾也留下了悬念，没想到两季过后作者居然用了一部电影去揭示两个种族的之间埋藏的真相。整个故事可以说充满了孩子与母亲间的羁绊，由母亲与希尔达之间的分离开始，在两个敌对的种族最后因为对母爱的共感而互相理解中结束，整个主题很好的融合进了电影的每个角落。
