Whenever I see La Paura I think of it as a companion piece to Eyes Wide Shut, or maybe it is the other way around. Adultery makes both films tick but in different ways. I think Phillip French was right on the money when he pointed out a Wizard of Oz thing in Kubrick's last work. Like Dorothy, Tom and Nicole go through fantasies and nightmares and at the end Dorothy's reassuring childish motto "there's no place like home" is ironically updated to the adult circumstantial adage "there's no sex like marital sex". Kubrick's take is intellectual, he never leaves the world of ideas to touch the ground. He taunts the audience first with an erotic movie and then with a thriller and refuses to deliver either of them. He was married to his third wife for 40 years, until he died. Rossellini was still married to Ingrid Bergman when he directed La Paura; they had been adulterous lovers and their infidelity widely criticized La Paura is a tale, a noirish one. The noir intrigue is solved and the tale has a happy ending. The city is noir; the country is tale, the territory where childhood is possible. The transition is operated in the most regular way: by car, a long-held shot taken from the front of the car as it rides into the road, as if we were entering a different dimension. Irene (Bergman) starts the movie: we just see a dark city landscape but her voice-over narration tells us of her angst and informs us that the story is a flashback, hers. Bergman's been cheating on her husband. At first guilt is just psychological torture but soon expands into economic blackmail and then grows into something else. From beginning to end the movie focuses on what Bergman feels, every other character is there to make her feel something. Only when the director gives away the plot before the main character can find out does he want us to feel something Bergman still can't. When she finds out, we have already experienced the warped mechanics of the situation and we may focus once again on the emotional impact it has on Bergman's Irene. In La Paura treasons are not imagined but real, nightmares are deliberate and the couple's venom suppurates in bitter ways. Needless to say, Ingrid has another of her rough rides in the movies but Rossellini doesn't dare put her away as he did in Europa 51, nor does he abandon her to the inscrutable impassivity of nature (Stromboli). His gift is less transcendent and fragile than the conclusion of Viaggio in Italia. He just gives his wife as much of a fairy tale ending as a real woman can have, a human landscape where she can finally feel at home. Back to the country, a half lit interior scene where shadows suggest the comfort of sleep. After all, it's the "fairy godmother" who speaks the last words in the movie.
影片开头真真假假的感觉很厉害，后来就比较老套了。主角们没有明确的行动目标：Neo只知道要找Trinity，其他人看不出有任何目标，行动计划都要靠一个莫名出现的人物来说出，感觉很牵强。
惊了！剧情真的可以！唯一平庸的是动作设计，没有风格，虽然及格往上，但是已经没有当年眼前一亮大受震撼的感觉了。
有概念内核还是跟进时代，有有些许嘲讽意味但珠玉在前拍的不那么好看，看下来忒累挺
真爱可以charge世界，爱人之间的一个吻能够颠覆矩阵——多年过去了，越走越走一条路的Wachowski的cliche答卷。But what if they're right？
二十年之后重启，以中年危机为背景复刻前作，Neo和Trinity的合二为一，更强调团队力量，Trinity女性力量超越Neo，这些都挺不错，对于沃卓斯基来说，也都有迹可循；虽然直接就在片中吐槽起资方意图，但是自带私货把Sense8团队融合进Matrix实在是太串戏了。
1，需要再去看一下前面3部洗一下眼睛；
算是对三部曲的一个tribute，虽然不太喜欢最后的僵尸大战和过多的bullet time，但是对Trinity的角色处理可太合意了！Sense8再就业的各位都很帅。新加入的Broadway两位斗唱才比较适合一点。自始至终的官方吐槽怎么那么好笑！
末世题材film noir的布景和氛围都很满，就是情节没太跟上趟，人物比较扁平，走的偶像剧路子，骨架单薄没撑起来。要是改成音乐剧估计就立刻变genre里的翘楚。感觉被形式耽误了。
反看技术更成熟的今天，前半段卖情怀直白硬给到只差在屏幕打字：快说爷青回！不断的旧片重播，旧人模仿，新人人设模仿，满满的黔驴技穷既视感。后半段情节交代不清，导致看的人莫名其妙。最后的速8式僵尸世界大战更是看的人尬在原地，难以名状的诡异。（头锤好好笑）
老了老了，打不动了，按情怀的态度看，剧情还好，在米国如今的环境没有加些奇怪的东西。章鱼机器人来矩阵这点确实说得通，其实就怕之后整个平行宇宙。（毕竟都能修复尼奥了，造一个应该也可以）
剧本很烂，故事混乱逻辑难自洽，台词幼稚让人尴尬，导演根本驾驭不了，只好故做深沉不断画外音，科幻的背景下，包装了一个烂熟的爱情故事。观众尚不明所以，导演却已沉迷其中，为所谓爱情感动得一塌糊涂。
matrix和sense 8两波演员联谊，把三部曲经典镜头重演了一遍😂
前后分裂的厉害，倒不如把前半部分展开讲讲会更好更有趣。
看到了一个中文渗透英文的未来 (￣▽￣) （其实觉得还蛮自然的就默认听懂了）what is it with people finding the English accent attractive (￣▽￣) and why the Westworld flashbacks (￣▽￣) 还是较有效虽然鸡皮疙瘩地煽了一下的爱情故事
现在这个时间点有关追忆故人的电影还是值得拍的，可惜拍得稀烂，还是女导演女编剧，我就？？？
一场怀旧视觉盛宴罢了。弄了一群《Sense8》的演员来演，害老子差点儿串戏。要不是美术还行，真·看不下去。
matrix就像是资本主义，你可以解构它，但你无法打败它。你可以反抗它，但你无法推翻它。你的自由就是在这里面任意表演。啊不，matrix就是资本主义下的蛋啊
这剧本简直像是五年前写的。。又俗又油腻。写的连狼叔都能看起来那么猥琐也是服了
4.2 复古未来，潮湿城市，忧郁侦探，蛇蝎美人... 再多类型元素的叠加也没法掩盖剧本的可笑，记忆碎片这一核心设计在视觉呈现上的完全失效暂且不谈，这样的剧情放在黑色电影的范畴简直幼稚得像一本儿童读物，空洞僵硬且毫无激情，所谓爱情的写法跟之前那些诺兰作品如出一辙，不愧是小诺兰。最可笑的是，镜头中大量的性别凝视让人很难相信这是一部女性导演的电影，心疼我Rebecca。结尾前的几场戏勉强拉回一些好感，但是看到结尾彻底蚌埠了，让前面所呈现的一切都变成了狗屁，哈哈。
看了一个上帝视角影评终于知道这个故事在讲什么了。。。哎 还是不拍的好
