James Purefoy stars as William Travers, a criminal barrister who is recovering from a traumatic series of events that have shaken his belief in the legal system.
On the surface, Travers is a picture of success; an accomplished criminal barrister happily living with his wife (played by Dervla Kirwan) in rural Suffolk.
However, Travers is still recovering from events in his past when he is drawn into a case that involves his old friend Martin Newall (Nathaniel Parker), who faces conspiracy and murder charges while at the same time being investigated by a vicious and vengeful detective DS Mark Wenborn (Creed Miles).
The five-part series from acclaimed writer Anthony Horowitz (Collision, Foyle's War) is a story of friendship, conspiracy, betrayal and murder as well as a critical look at the way the legal system operates.
I'm glad that I've decided to watch it. I'm not gay but I like this story！
Is it a trend for those fag movies to use Perfume Genius? The soundtrack is so quirky and unsuitable. Conrad is hot as always. Maybe we will fall in love with (normal) people that don’t seem to match in the first place. Can’t agree more with Noah on Call Me By Your Name.

人家明明用了一部电影来说不要既定思维刻板印象，可豆瓣里一堆评论看到片子里的娘gay就说人家强化刻板印象，真不知道到底谁才是意识进步的阻力。。另外再加上前一部片子，真的是lots of sex positivity at 5am in the morning….

打发时间还可以的电影。
影片是历史真实事件改编，虽说是冒险题材，但中心并没有放在荒野求生，冰原探险上面，甚至没有宏大的风景与特效加持。重点则放在了人物内心刻画与背负艰巨使命的执着感。

gay+亚裔版《傲慢与偏见》，看得还是挺欢乐的
因为是人类历史上为数不多的亚洲男同性恋主演的英文电影，所以我无脑吹一下。

是男同的故事而不是耽美，更接近真实的LGBT🏳️🌈群体，故事结局是可以预想到的he，两个好闺蜜都找到了自己的真爱（rich and hot），整体节奏很欢乐轻松搞笑，一些gay community里的笑话虽然get不到但不妨碍跟着一起笑，在骄傲月🌈上映很合适，会很能在同志群体里得到共鸣，是消磨睡前时间的一个不错选择
为什么那么mean那么dram，全剧只有will是可以接受的朋友性格，但是proud for其他人，另外，剧情太小学生了
2.5/5 该片少数做对了的地方：1）being vulnerable is okay; 2）为亚裔男同增加了cinematic representation; 3）（浅薄地）视像化了男同社群令人窒息的种族主义与white queerness. 但这也是它令人失望的地方：批评heteronormativity时行heteronormativity之实，讽刺white queerness却无时不刻都充斥着white queerness. 批判力度还不如亚裔同志博主写得出彩的网文，2022年了还在玩把主角换成少数群体、内核却依旧陈腐的烂把戏。virtue signaling, queer-baiting content at its finest…（Bowen请好好挑剧本…
太表面了，一个局部局地的群像，剧情乏善，但还是有点养眼的。
同志版傲慢与偏见。发生在彩虹岛的就留在彩虹岛上吧，管他现实会怎样，为这个一样一个文艺美梦，可以五分。
