The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 这片脑洞大开，不失为对未来的一种想象！类似天使爱美丽饱和度超高的家居设计。机器人写的人工智能之诗。可更换纹身与智能模拟味道的香水。Cosplay梦露的女主人。会写字已经是未来世界的文青。吃的小零食是烤蟋蟀。可以克隆替换的小狗智商堪忧。飞行汽车和无孔不入的tailored ad广告。人类是有缺点的生物，机器人的阿克琉斯之踵是芯片。发明了机器人，却惨遭背叛。恐怖谷效应。果然随意可调智商（降级为1）的是人类的好朋友，譬如那个可爱萌哒哒扫地机器人，人类还是喜欢智商碾压的快乐。爱因斯坦机器人的话唠模式。
中规中矩的叙事，没有一丝丝的惊心，刚合格！
依然典型的热内风格，恶趣味的狂想曲，这次是密室型话唠片。从模仿人类情感、掌握幽默到突破人与机器的界限，反客为主，逼人类出演《直立搞笑猿人》，可最终还是因为对人类的“全面模仿”导致自己的灭绝，十分具有讽刺性。不过未来倒真的可能是人工智能和极右翼人类一起竞争领导权。

6.6 真是历史事件并不具备很大的喜剧成分，影片总体基调比较庄严平淡，非常英式的幽默和叙事风格。
