The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 从电影套娃式结构来看，凯奇也一直希望想演绎一部翻身佳作来重归好莱坞一线。年轻凯奇与中年凯奇的对撞中也说明了这一个天一个地心灵的差异，不过电影没有深挖其中的矛盾点，不然破产之痛一类的话题也是很有意思的。
但能够再看到尼古拉斯·凯奇出演正常电影也不错

一个非常普通的犯罪/亲情剧本，但因为有了尼古拉斯凯奇玩命的自黑，也有了而化腐朽为神奇般的力量，他那份在沉浸多少烂片里都不会洗去的天才之重，落魄影帝的失败人生也摇身一变成了唐吉诃德式的英雄主义，那还是粉丝们翘首以盼的凯奇，我们等你回来真的等太久了。
很meta，nic cage老师很in on the joke，cage和pedro pascal的male friendship chemistry很正。但是情节很单薄，感觉真的像是边演边编出来的。
尽管凯奇在片中吐槽好莱坞式俗套，但本片的主线就相当俗套。

还算挺欢乐。虽总是说廉颇老矣，但也要看看那时候跟凯奇搭戏的都是谁啊？康纳利、特拉沃尔塔、马尔科维奇、甜心瑞恩等等，没他们凯奇也没这么神说真的。这次好在有亲王“抬桩”，囧傻呆萌一起胡闹，不然也好不到哪儿去。1080P 22/06/07
低于预期，前半段设定蛮好，但走向沦为俗套了，自我剖析的部分也不够深刻，所以只是一部“粉丝电影”。
观感上一开始电影进的比较快，因为是自己演自己，所以还在现实和电影中反复横跳。中间好很多，但是结尾又完蛋了，扯的不能再扯。整体剧情把控并没有从一而终。凯奇演的倒是不错，里面也是各种提到了自己的经典电影，只是电影剧本拉了胯。

凯奇用凯奇的故事拍（演）了一部很凯奇的电影。
原本以为是一出《低入尘埃》式的没落演员的自我剖析，最终却成了皆大欢喜的大俗套剧。
即使不是凯奇粉丝，这也是一部非常不错的动作喜剧。
不过就像电影里说的那样，摆烂可能都不是最悲哀的，不停的尝试还没有效果，只能让观众更怀念他以前的经典角色。
Nicolas Cage 无疑是个伟大的演员！
