The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 电影三星，原著续作就不太好。另外一星给木村拓哉的新田桑，一星给开场和后面那两段好看的探戈。
看过原著之后就不太期待了。确实，不是演员的问题。
7080后偶像明星们的出路在哪里？以及东野圭吾的文本真的适合改编电影吗？就算是高口碑的《白夜行》也没见改编电影拍的好的。
感觉比前作好点但也没好很多，可能观影的主要目的就是木村拓哉和长泽雅美吧。
和上一部同感：不管怎样，再次拥有了能盯着木村拓哉和长泽雅美两小时的机会，这就够了
酒店部分真的很有趣，但是探案那部分凶手的动机确实很bug。
有一说一，我觉得比《尚气与十戒传奇》好看多了，赵婷的光影运用、运镜都很舒服，由于永恒族本身人多，所以两个小时的内容里人物性格不够饱满，除去本身争议最大的“广岛原子弹爆炸”的桥段不说外，还是有一定的观赏度，要说史诗感，有一部分内容挺足的，但是作为文艺片出身的导演来拍漫威电影还是有一定的难度的，大陆不引进，估计就是“广岛原子弹事件”和LGBTQ的电影定级注定无缘内陆银幕，天神组的出现，足以看出漫威后阶段的野心，下一部应该会和阿灭的弟弟有关，还是稍作期待吧。
叙事方面，爆米花电影的本质和导演文艺风格的叙事显然不能有机结合，结果就是两边都不讨好。
众星云集的悬疑片，就是以咖位来决定bug的程度。
一如既往Cast豪华的像贺岁片一样，当然剧情也像。
莫名其妙的犯罪动机 整体而言还不如前作 木村评这部作品拿影帝 crazy
随便路人套个马甲都能查身份证VS警察为了找杀人犯要处处配合酒店的服务要求……
酒店相信/服务所有人和警察怀疑所有人的对比冲突继续，东野圭吾的社会派风格依然显著，「凶手」和「真相」并不是重点，"触电纪念的杀人动机"之下：Transgender的身份，兄妹乱伦，警方审讯的二次强暴...这些才是更需要咀嚼的隐藏议题。
披着推理剧外衣的偶像剧：镜头只要一过木村拓哉就讲究得精美无死角。破案过程象闹着玩，但时时处处维护的，雕琢般的仪式感，形成特有文化气质，看着值得玩味。
3.5，比第一部好不少。虽然叙事形式没变，但单元剧感淡了许多，整体观感一下就上去了；推理部分又是经典的雷声大雨点小，但还算有趣。
最不舒服的是男性客人让女主帮忙约另一位女性客人单独见面，女主竟然答应了……不管酒店工作人员后续安排的有多妥当，但入住你家酒店，享受私人空间的时候，真的不需要酒店自以为是给客人安排和陌生人的见面，而且到底有没有考虑过女客人本身的意愿和客人的安全问题？我只能翻白眼。除此之外的话，电影剧本本身依旧比较寡淡无味，悬疑推理案件无聊没意思就是不及格。
比上一部好 整體依舊是日劇水平 搞了一大堆支節 結果敗筆就在推理環節上
T。喜欢他俩。剧情很莫名其妙。哈哈哈哈哈哈。
好吧，我承认看不懂剧情，太复杂了，太多线了。而且，这个是系列片吗？我怎么觉得头尾都不着调啊。
