The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. “做人不能什么都怕，尤其是害怕自由。”即使面对潜藏危机的“风信子行动”，他们依然坚持以自己的方式生活，那是黑暗迷雾之下唯一的真实与自由。30多年前如此，而到了今天波兰的形势依旧如此，这部电影不仅是历史的刻印，更是现实的上演，压迫和威胁只会让他们更坚强，懦弱的永远是那些不敢承认他人的爱和幸福的人。
两星半。以悬疑犯罪为背景展现了一个阴冷灰暗的冬季下自我认知的故事。认清自我这条线讲的还可以，虽然中规中矩但也娓娓道来。而cp戏其实很少，俩人在审讯室有揪心到。但在看到最后受也骗了男主后对峙让他滚，明明攻是过来救他，我攻控劲就飙上来了，情绪全没，我日。（不了解波兰，但看起来对性少数群体的迫害从古至今全球都是一样的。）
在感情上，罗伯特出轨了就是渣男，但是这也不是重点了，重点是同性恋在那样的时代被迫害着。男主的演技给电影加分不少。
耕种锄刨为安宁
对这个世界，同性恋们请永远保持清醒，永远保持警惕，有些东西可不一定不会再来一遍。
真好看，从最开始的画质调色天哪，感觉太多需要学习的了，还有镜头语言
酒吧-"人不应该对一切都感到恐惧，尤其是为了自由。";
这部电影我真的很感触，可能是我最近心情也比较低谷的原因吧，就很共鸣，那种压抑感真的很共鸣、另外这个警察真的很像桑总，我看的稍微有点跳戏，小卷毛也很漂亮，尤其是眼睛、两人之间的那种感情真的很让我感触、不知道为什么这部电影的画面镜头什么的明明是压抑挂的但莫名的很戳我观感、我已经很久没有看过这种能让我安安静静看下来之后内心还会有感触的电影了、真的很久没有看过了、片尾的bgm很宁静很好听
『人不能对什么都感到恐惧，尤其是为了自由』。爱情觉醒的甜蜜和铁幕阴影下的巨大恐怖，两者强烈的对比更让人觉得意难平，在观感上弥补了一些故事悬疑情节方面的零碎和寡淡。
卷毛的演员竟然是99年出生的，这样的青春美少年掰谁掰不弯呢？审讯那场戏最精彩，卷毛的眼神里写满了震惊，小胡子低着头不敢看他，还让他说最近一次使用了什么技巧和体位？警局的问卷里有这问题？！但是当小胡子在录像带里看到卷毛的时候，只想去提醒他保护他，如果这都不是爱？！最后一个问题：男主是双还是深柜？我觉得是深柜。第一次被卷毛亲了大概是三观震裂世界崩塌，赶紧去找女友验证自己还是不是直男，发现自己依然还对女友有性奋那一脸的释然和开心哦~
男主的造型，尤其是发型与小胡子有点像老塔。
生命诚可贵，爱情价更高。若为自由故，两者皆可抛。
下半年最惊喜的同影
蛮不错的片子。风信子行动在历史上有迹可循 但是这个爱情故事应该是编的吧？…男一男二颜值都很不错 男一去掉胡子看起来就很不同了 能驾驭住这个胡子也算不容易了 LOL
因为男主的颜，让人觉得这段情愫生发的有点莫名... 整体色调冷峻，节奏出色，就是收尾收的有点“编剧写不动了”的感觉...

6分 一个老江湖隐姓埋名后，被逼出山血战恶棍，同归于尽的故事
结合历史背景的话应该算是比较阴暗的时期，当记录进“风信子档案”就意味着被跟踪、扣押和勒索，却是压抑了一部分同性恋人热爱自由的渴望。警察和同性恋学生的cp也很好嗑，两人在讯问室时的演技简直巅峰，最后“我不会丢下你一个人的”“我会找到你的”，警察最后没有屈服于现实选择安稳和被安排好的生活，真的是非常勇敢。
