The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 上映时间恰逢残奥会，挺好的宣传，但叙事有点不流畅，有些情节煽情过度了。
不停前探的尽头，未必是想象中的豁然开朗，可能会是戛然而止，生命亦然。

电影节奏把握得很好，没有拖沓的感觉，几个妈妈和儿子的对手戏很赚眼泪。尤其那句“你是先天残疾，人们不会怪你，人们怪的是我。”唉……当妈的也有很多心酸
