The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 3.5 让机器得以运转的不是冰冷的算法，而是由生活经验构成的代码。友谊是双向的，人类选择机器人做朋友的同时，机器人也在选择人类。片中的“小白”不是一种媒介，而是个体的一种，以平等的姿态与人交流。这比大白所传递出的奉献、牺牲精神要好很多。
给孩子的科技童话
很难不跟大白和杰夫做对比，所以设定谈不上有创意，剧情也很不严谨，感觉剧本是好几个编剧拼凑起来的，很多生硬的转折和漏洞让人看得昏昏欲睡，最受不了的是明明是小男孩与机器人的暖心故事，为什么非要搞拯救世界那一套？
还挺有趣的，机器人还是要有攻击性和冒犯性才更接近人喔
这片对社恐来说绝对算恐怖片……谁要买个机器人来强迫自己交友啊，各种公开处刑简直社死了……
大家都在看冬奥开幕的时候看了这个，发现Ron跟冰墩墩挺像的……所以虽然有点老套但足够可爱，而且故事背后关于沟通交流和友谊的主题永远不过时的。
当某些神经病妄图把人类带入元宇宙，他们在呼唤真情实感的回归。
後面一度《不可能的任務》出戲。
