The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 中规中矩的励志，残疾运动员训练艰辛背后还可能面临更严峻的经济压力。但是那时候的体制并没有很好地照顾到残疾人的生活。电影是说到了一些实际的现象，故事来说就有些煽情过度了。
有做为金牌选手的高光时刻，也有做为普通人面对生活的艰难时刻，但内心的坚持从未放弃，母子二人的对手戏真挚不做作，国语配音听着太出戏，推荐粤语。
