During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 费半天劲说了个很简单的事，刚开始还以为是个女版的海边曼彻斯特，结果嗐，谈不上小题大做，但确是故弄玄虚，无甚波澜。
正如电影里所说，作为妈妈的过程是“unnatural”的，尤其当你是个natural person，自我和母性的拉扯就会显示出不被他人所理解的异常。然而你知道，那不过是寻常，是无数女性经历过或正在经历的寻常。
多线叙事，精妙的细节，But丢失是双向的，失去了女儿，母亲也就迷失了。
科尔曼的演技已经达到了如臻化境的地步，实在是看的赏心悦目！

4/5 惊艳的处女作。恐育阵营的一大力作，对现实生活中婚育女性状态的描写入木三分，犹如影片中那个锋利的帽扣一般刺开被社会大众隐匿的“母亲”角色的困境和悲哀。科尔曼完美契合这一角色，感觉可以冲奥。剧情节奏有些问题，完美错过紧凑和松弛的分界线导致观影体验奇怪宛如一节失去弹性的皮筋，配乐很赞，是属于那种不会再看第二遍的现实主义佳作。
玛姬吉伦哈尔好牛啊！我是当惊悚片看的。leda好孤独啊，母职困境描写得入木三分，一辈子都走不出的伤痛。许多小暗示和伏笔，被松子砸得青紫的后背、不是善茬的家族成员、偷情的母亲、起身会头晕、被人咒骂得脑癌，导演半隐晦半直接，让观众意识到leda是遇到了一个年轻的自己，一样的困境。最后从肚子上拿出了一个橙子，与女儿们和解的开放式结局。都足见现在以不是父权制线性明确结局的时代了。ed和Peter好自在啊，看到ed还在演戏，好开心啊！Olivia，红养人啊，感觉她现在演戏越来越自在了，当然了，她本身演技就很好。以及达寇塔约翰逊的演技，谁也救不了吧，全程跳戏50度灰，演得也太差了！女主居然是教比较文学的，好亲切啊！
3.5 所有母亲都曾经是女儿，但不是所有女儿都想成为母亲。The lost daughter, 没有所谓“天生的母性”。
好了好了我知道当妈很烦啦，好像第一次真有电影表现出这种烦？这个蛮可贵的。很多小段落都有很有趣，看电影的部分，和达妹几次交谈，和Will，削个蛇皮当然也是啦。但整体就挺闷的怎么回事。
看不懂，但直接明确地感受到了妈妈的崩溃，母职的荒谬。

一个母亲，她首先是女儿，是女人，才是母亲，女性道德优劣不应该被母职绑架，作为处女作很惊艳了。
母亲迷失女儿，也代表着女儿失去母亲。在丧偶式育儿的情况广泛存在的历史中和当下，我们在影视作品中多为歌颂母亲的形象的伟大。但是日常琐碎中，子女的哭闹drive多少母亲crazy?母亲她作为人的欲望我们是否没有关注？
偷走娃娃的另一种解读：女儿没有娃娃会更加折磨母亲，她想看着那位年轻母亲生活地愈加疲惫，而合理化自己当初抛弃女儿们的行为。
音乐很赞哦…以为是度假疗愈故事 结果大半时间提心吊胆 一直担心大女儿是不是因为她的疏忽死了 才让她这样神经质和防御的样子 还偷小女孩的娃娃 结果最后电话表示女儿们都活着 母女关系似乎还不错的样子 所以离开过三年 回归了这么多年还是没有和自己和解吗教授 不过带孩子的无奈和焦虑是传递出来了
本来也看不来费兰特的书，影像处理又不如让-马克·瓦雷，实在实在看不来。没可能只要和某些议题挂勾就拿高分的，和政治正确有什么差别
