The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. What’s the price of freedom? Everything!!!
片中在银行中不杀人质很奇怪，对自己人毫不犹豫开枪，在中国类似事件警方并不会受绑匪威胁，而是直接封锁消息冲进去。一开始很期待三人在银行的表现，后面故事很让人失望。
节奏把握的不是很好。故事基于南非的真实事件，就会别有一番滋味。但南非这个国家，黑人这么积极的夺取了自由，却不要求上进，感觉也有点遗憾。
柔化的光线和取景进一步中和了内容的严肃性,增强了可看性。人物关系的叙述取舍得当，以简洁的方式将纯的众多关系网络完整化，为纯和三浦的主线发展留有了充足的叙事空间。基本上属于中规中矩的好。
在最恶劣的环境中，心存善良，为信仰而战，历史会告诉世人，所追求信仰的对错。
自由的代价是什么，是一切
结尾出现了，根据真实事件改编，所以司法部长的女儿真的被射杀了？
