The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 把Hamlet到莎士比亚时代已经层叠累积千年的基督教色彩全部剥去，还原成Amleth传说中原初的北欧气息。感觉第一署名编剧Sjón的贡献其实比导演大？作为类型化尝试不太成功，Eggers以后还是继续回A24拍文艺恐怖片吧！
风格很强烈的片子。我一般会等字幕放完再走，另一个同样等到最后一刻的人跟我说“果然要等到最后一刻才能明白导演的意图”
特别特别好的一部院线电影，导演对主流观众做了一小部份的妥协，但是仍然保持了极具个人风格化的镜头语言和摄影。剧情非常平铺直叙，如果导演拥有最后剪辑权的话可能会把每一个章节的故事剪的更细碎繁复一些。最后的决斗拍的太好了。it's OK you don't like the film, but at least you should appreciate it. 看了一半的时候以为是颠覆王子复仇记，强调女性意识，到头来还是红颜祸水的论调。9000万的预算去哪了？拍大景和请大咖了？以前导演的a24是神棍片，那一种不明所以的惊悚感全然消失。还是老老实实玩惊悚小成本吧，期待下一部安雅的吸血鬼吧，，，
在LA环球影城IMAX看的首映，出乎意料全片一半对白标准普通话，诚意是真的做足了。梁朝伟第一次好莱坞大制作，还是演了一个为爱所困的苦命人
看过的第三部Robert Eggers的电影，也是最喜欢的一部。北欧版哈姆雷特，满是男人味的血腥暴力与野性，充满戏剧的张力
是王子复仇更是自我救赎，约等于看了两个小时神神叨叨画面很美的北欧摄影大片集锦。

可惜了，氛围感较前两部差不少。而且白天像权游，晚上像灯塔，又总有一种抽离感。
就是普通的王子复仇记，安雅很漂亮，冰岛风光不错，仅此而已。4/10

莎翁再再再改编，有奴隶但是没黑人，我第一个不同意，这个片子不行。
粗粝的趣味，故事根本不重要，有几场平滑移动调度很屌
但奈何不若《女巫》般具有现代性，又不若《灯塔》般有力量感，只配了个中规中矩的俄狄浦斯。
对维京史诗，“王子复仇记”永远没有抵抗力。
