　　"Veteran experimental filmmakers Danielle Huillet and Jean-Marie Straub helmed this unusual adaptation of a novel by Elio Vittorini. Focused on the triumphs and failures of a group of laborers and farm hands who pooled their resources to operate an alternative collective farm after the end of World War II, Operai, Contadini features a cast of 12 actors who read aloud from Vittorini's book for the duration of the film, either reciting from memory or using a clearly visible script. Hardly designed to be a crowd pleaser, Operai, Contadini proved to be controversial among the audiences for its showings at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival, where it was screened as part of the Directors' Fortnight series." ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

    看之前没了解片子任何背景，然后边看边一直在感叹好像rent啊，看到最后才发现拍的就是rent的原作者的故事……

    本片的片名来自他的另一部同名音乐剧，虽然我不太爱看音乐舞蹈片，但这部电影里的表演和歌曲还是挺有感染力的，因为他的歌曲内容大部分来自他自己的生活，所以他的成功因此而改变了音乐剧的定义。

    作为处女作水平很不错。Jonathan Larson这形象不怎么可爱，周围的人要不停地迁就他的任性孩子气。悲剧色彩的一生值得同情，但是词曲都很一般，全片最好听的旋律是生日歌。音乐剧气氛不错，但每首歌的编排高潮都上不去，感觉作曲和编曲对如何表达情绪的起伏无能为力，只能堆砌音符和声部。电影的视听也是类似的吃不上劲的感觉。听听Andrew Lloyd Webber的音乐剧吧。同样，故事里包含纽约同性恋群体对抗艾滋病的情节，这个不怪Larson，实在是因为《天使在美国》太出色了，巧合的是Lin-Manuel Miranda选Andrew Garfield出演是在看过他出演《天使在美国》之后。

    3.5 音乐很行，剧情比较割裂，人很可惜。

    今年最喜欢了。我也要三十了，觉得非常relate，好几首歌唱得泪流满面，也觉得好像tick tick时间不够了，但好像生活里的各方面都还没进入正轨，可不可以让一切停下，可不可以在不失去的情况下就能得到。本来看音乐剧不多，也不知道Larson的故事，听完他的人生觉得命运过于唏嘘了。电影真的很完好地把他和每个人的遗憾梦想坚持展现出来，不上院线有点可惜。ps：why does it take a disaster for things to change? 再ps：奶一口加菲冲奥要成功鸭

    滴答滴答倒数，拉森的三十岁来得太早，而他的三十六岁永远没有到来，林聚聚在音乐剧方面的才华让另一位天才的坎坷之路串接着倒数时刻的演出美妙地呈现出来，当然要算上加菲无可挑剔的表演，八年熬出的傲慢进不了百老汇，那就潜心创作下一部剧。
