The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 摄影，光影运用，表演，均是顶级，但整合在一起却并没有那么合理。
莎翁作品改编的电影中，《麦克白》是我看的最多的，本片的黑白摄影直接让我想起了奥逊.威尔斯和黑泽明的版本。
场景和服装上配合黑白色的冷峻 画面与剧情一样有着强烈的反差和跌宕 但并没有想象的那么科恩 反而比较中规中矩的戏剧翻牌 把舞台剧拍的不舞台并不容易 但本片对舞台剧的走位和构造都有着极为考究的运镜 但就内核而言 黑色幽默并不适合这个古朴的经典
7.9 每次dw的电影都会觉得他很厉害，但又喜欢不起来，production design 真的很棒。
场景和摄影很对，但又没全对，感觉像是穿梭于1921年和2021年之间。缺了几分韵律，几分留白，架不起张力

I have no words it’s so well made in every single aspect. I loved the witches, the birds, the leaves, the girl in the water, the monologue. Frances McDormand and Denzel Washington are THE actors of their generation. Will need a rewatch with subtitles in the future.
舞台化的步光以及黑白选择，非常古典，电影化的电影。除了丹泽尔华盛顿的台词有点温吞，几近完美。有几个镜头及构图实在是美不胜收，这才是光影中作画。
人文精神的崛起——莎士比亚四大悲剧之麦克白，麦克白反而更像古希腊的命运悲剧，少了像哈姆雷特的主体意识，在故事里，一切皆按女巫口中的预言运行（命运），不同于命运悲剧的是，预言先行，人受预言影响，激发出人物动机。台词极为出彩，并没改动太多原作。
我就是为了摄影才看它的，黑白的层次真丰富啊。故事也没有太大的改动。
终于看了浸入式戏剧Sleep No More原型的莎士比亚剧《麦克白》的故事，不过黑白片+1.19:1的画面比例让影帝影后失色不少。还是重新发行成全彩+全屏吧！听说这个弑君故事还有一个2015年的电影版，Michael Fassbender+ Marion Cotillard主演。

表演和台词都是顶尖，光影和极简之美厉了个大害，女巫戏份似乎是《第七封印》版《蜘蛛巢城》。Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow. Out, out, brief candle.
