The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Miles总是给每个角色最大的尊重，在他的电影里每个人都值得被爱被倾听。这部新作剧作层面明显不如前两作，但依然保持着细腻敏感。孤儿扮演这个设定很绝，侄子和叔叔互相拯救，依然保留学习成长的主题，温柔真的可以拯救一切。
在另一个层面，影片又在实在感与虚无感之间来回交叉穿梭。约翰尼与杰西的关系危机，与采访问题可为互文，借此去思考家庭与亲情的社会议题，拷问纯真与成长的终极意义，

希望电影不要结束，因为太温柔了无法切断。（去电影院看真是太值了。
一开始，我想掐死这个讨厌的小孩。然后可能我们都喜欢他了吧，彼此驯服彼此接纳，与人共度时光多么有魔力啊。

8.0/10 平平淡淡，像溪水一般无意识地缓缓流淌，全片展示的就是一段两人自然相处的时光，温暖，有趣，平和。/ 生活中发生的，改变的那些种种，何不是潜移默化渗透进来的呢。那些对于生活一次又一次的错误的预计之后的那段‘C’mon, C'mon, C'mon’, 希望是带着笑说的吧～/ 采访对白都好好玩嘻嘻，很真挚～/ 片中一切都好美～大概因为观影时心很平静吧～老文艺片effect了哈哈
