The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 这一场旅途是如何开始的？或许是离群索居的独特，也或许是心里放不下的一个人。只是不想停下来，诗意吗，孤独吗，快乐吗，幸福吗？
一个中国导演能拍出这样的片子很不错。有时让我想起瓦尔达。不过把丧亲之痛与寻求自由的人生态度混在一起谈，有些重心不明确。
又细腻又克制，孤独且温柔。像看纪录片一样，真喜欢。
不是传统的homeless的故事，更多的是自我选择的放逐
习惯了流浪，便再也无法停下上路的脚步。整片给我一种忧郁的诗意，在西方式的框架下，却也蕴含着东方式的哲理。上路的勇气总要大过无房的恐惧，而家的意义就在寻找的路上。
有几个配乐有点跳，和风格不是很合，唏嘘
那些真实的人物在镜头下述说自己的经历，这时候的主角特别像一个聆听的记者，而那些路上遇到的对象像一个个受访者，怎么讲呢，这种处理也不是说好与坏，总觉得略刻意。see you down the road.
不止于公路片，不是漫无目的地追求自由，而是除了自由已一无所有。

赵婷胜在剧本轻描淡写，用镜头进行角色研究，无论是将人物置于不同环境中，从亚马逊巨型工厂到广阔无垠的草原，还是捕捉麦克多蒙德充满表达和感染力的脸庞。
私认为配乐有些过满，冲淡了荒凉感，稀释了演员原本极好的情绪。
流浪的人，何以为家。有些人确实不得不上路。。
随便拿张地图看看吧：一块区域的地理范围是面，是广延的；地理建筑或地标则是由点构成，是紧缩的锚。路呢？它们只是“线”。
似乎是与生俱来的流浪，也是被回忆拉扯在了路上
借用了一个美国的故事来讲述一种非常普遍的生活选择和方式，每个在路上的人应该都能感受到相似的情感；人们总因为各种原因上路，在快递仓库与自然美景、房子与van之间，不断挣扎又喘息，可能真是上路了，而能更深刻体会到这种感受，有时候，有些情绪无处言说；赵婷还真是挺厉害的，情感把控很到位，平和也可以很有力量。
无聊、乏味、充满陈词滥调的公路电影。人物和情节一样，太过扁平，看电影简介就能构建整个叙事和表达的电影。
