The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 非常温柔非常诗意，非常真诚非常有力，好像一条平静流淌的河流，最后小孩子说可能是我最好的朋友的时候，感叹这点题是真的很妙
比预想的有惊喜 没有尿点 就是不够恐怖哈哈哈 btw整个火焰就一个人吗那女的也是真的厉害
又一部属于导演essay film式的片子，影像虽然是黑白的，却不压抑，反而释放出五颜六色的情感色彩。中文名为什么是“呼朋引伴”，可能是呼应了英文名和电影的台词“come on come on…”希望世界逐渐好起来，每个孤独、不被理解的灵魂能够遇见彼此，呼朋引伴…
电影里讨论了很多平常又值得思考的问题以及答案，以至于不清楚那部分是剧本还是孩子们真实的想法（ps.这个小孩子跟我一样喜欢听安魂曲）
好多问题，并无答案。总要承受身边糟糕的事，未来与眼前同样灰暗。思考下，你是否活得/成为小时候希望的那样。★★★☆/7.7
对导演的上一部初学者留下了十分美好的印象，这种感觉没有完全延续进新作。

What a bittersweet, healing, and intimate movie. Joaquin, Hoffman, and Norman are spectacular. The children's words are innocent yet profound. One of my favourite of the year. 9/10
电影完成度还好。然，欲以孩童赤子之心救成人之饱经世事，我以为不可。

想到了文德斯的Lisbon story还有贾木许的帕特森
太纽约。敏锐、温和，却也迟缓，总是自恋地试图奠定世界；迈克·米尔斯的书写优于其表达，反而是那些褪去外壳的部分最能打动人
引入纪录片元素就认真去记录些什么啊……
