剧情介绍

The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances.     整体很容易让人联想到第七封印。摄影算亮点了，尤其是两次环形运动来暗示主题，而且灯光配乐甚至烟雾效果都挺出色，几个主角演技也都到位。但寓言体的情节有点散也不好理解，而且剪辑步调忽快忽慢的也不习惯

    虽是改编，实则却是大卫·洛维将自己前两部长片中的某些母题糅合而成，暂且可以理解为「骑士和斧头的鬼魅浮生」，必要与否先放在一边，他电影里所有的古怪元素似乎都能从前作中找到合理化解释。

    The first part in B/W could be seen as a journey to bid his brother a moving adieu by transporting the ashes of Pirandello, whose works have been adapted by the brothers, to his Sicilian homeland. Whereas the second part in color is quite confusing for us who have never read the story before. The shift from grey to color is poetic though

    现在中世纪故事也能够看得津津有味，实在得益于《骑砍》《巫师》《十字军之王》。影片故事脱胎于中世纪诗歌，没有完全按照原诗编排，特别是对于骑士精神五要素，在解构的同时，也使得人物选择更偏向当代化。一段自我成长的冒险，目标可能不再是成为骑士，反倒弥漫着一种更加当代性的虚荣、颓丧、自毁、避世。全片的声音表达值得细究。
