The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 喜欢，超级喜欢！2022开年第一部特喜欢的电影！节奏掌握得很好，又因为适当的配乐精彩！还给老作品补充了背景信息，只看了前二十分钟就要停下来赞美～（Podcast好可爱）自然风景、场景光都很好看，不光是依靠特效来支撑，搜了一下导演，喔明白了！看到制服、教孙女修质子背包……有点哭出来，这种传承的情怀有真实完整地传达到我这里。Mckenna的演技实在太好了，提着trap对抗Gozer那一幕，眉间都是帅的

翻拍的过于低幼化了。保罗路德全片工具人，与其说是捉鬼敢死队，不如说是另类的怪奇物语。
2.5 角色全是刻板印象，摄影调度剪辑都不太行，但是，我还是在诺阿身上看到了太多自己的影子，情感上还是有触动我的，以及，本片的选角再一次证明了，如果长得不行，练一身肌肉也无济于事
100%情怀粉丝向，已经没有了当年的cult味儿，直接拍成了青少年奇幻冒险，喜剧元素也生硬尴尬，前期铺垫冗长乏味，没看过原作的人也看得云里雾里的，如果不是最后四人组重聚的话就是妥妥的三星片。老年四人组重聚除魔一段直接在电影院哭成傻子，其威力足以媲美美队拿起锤子，可能我还是对英雄迟暮的戏份特别有感情，看到Egon的灵魂为孙女举起激光枪真的好感动，还有灵魂消散后的for Harold，或许剩下的三名抓鬼队员会比我们更难过吧。片子大量致敬原作，情怀牌打太满、创新的部分又不够好，很容易让人质疑是不是为了笼络粉丝。棉花糖小人是唯一爆笑点，可以列入2021最可爱反派角色，我烤我炸我插我自己。Ghostbusters！
虽然说的是现代背景下的gay版傲慢与偏见，但这改编真的没啥新意，不要太刻板印象啊…怎么会这么俗气啊
太mediocre了，虽然小男主小女主大男主都是我喜欢的演员，虽然甚至把老版诸位都请回来了，但气质和质量都不能跟正统前作比，更遑论超越了。
还以为电影不会让我很共鸣，这种生活离我很远，但这种排斥刻板印象却又下意识靠近的矛盾心理却让我有了共鸣。很喜欢这种自由的氛围，也很喜欢两个亚裔帅哥的结局安排，电影真的很善良，我也一直在等一个我喜欢的人说我很有趣很棒，抱着我吻我
主要是粉丝向，一般吧。但是女孩子是真的漂亮
不得不种族歧视了，因为亚裔实在太丑了，无论男女，尤其是韩裔。剧情倒是还可以，没什么深度，但轻松，尤其傲慢与偏见的构架是怎么拍都不会出错的，可惜颜值太太太太低了，演员换掉可以给四星，演技再好点甚至可以给五星
没想到傲慢与偏见的故事原型套在gay story上fits so well！简直把gay圈鄙视链展现的淋漓尽致，虽然最后还免不了是一个gay fairytale，一个poor asian/not even hot gay能和一个有钱帅白男在一起，i mean，天方夜谭。但整部电影看完还是很开心的，马上想开启自己的gaycation！

低幼版敢死队 小演员们和鬼都是过家家似的 paul rudd则是在什么电影里都可以发光。可能是情怀给欧美影迷打分上加分不少 如果单纯看这一部真的不咋行。
