A brilliant and outragously funny satire of society, 7 December 1999

"Flodder" is one of the funniest movies ever made and few people realise that it is a Dutch movie made by none other than the Holland version of John Carpenter, the famous Dick Maas, author and director of the thriller "Amsterdamned". The Flodder family is the reincarnation of the term a-social. When the whole family bunch, basically all bastards, criminals and sluts must be relocated from their City slum because of toxic waste under their house, the city council house no choice. The only available space is in the "Zoendal" - the "Sun Valley" the best area in Amsterdam where all doctors, snobs and businessmen can afford to live their lives. And where the central point of interest and politics is the tennis club of the community. The Flodder family brings devastation to the tranquil world that ruled before. They are simply unbelievable. The characterisation is incredibly funny, beginning with Ma Flodder who searches other people's trash cans for food or making illegal liquor in her cellar and ending with the eldest daughter who is the biggest slut on earth. Together they make the most horrible family imaginable, a sort of immoral mirror image to the Brady Bunch or the Waltons. When the City counsel of Amsterdam hoped that the Flodders would show their good will to be more civilised in their new area, it turns out that Holland's most famous family would rather bring out the worst in the rich people of "Sun Valley"-wonderland. The rest is a hilarious, brilliant and well made social satire that can be watched as a provocative movie as well as a straightforward comedy. Dick Maas at his best. I salute him! Flooder was the Dutch smash hit in 1986 and brought two sequels and a tv series. All of the sequels were nice but not as great as the original.

Why is First Floor Features, the producer of the movie not bringing the Dick Maas blockbusters out on DVD in the Netherlands, I wonder. The are not even available on video there. These movies have so much potential, still to this day and have a huge silent but true following.

威尔史密斯好棒啊，剧本也没落入运动电影的范式。很好看。
一边是抽象的宏观的儿童，一边是具体的微观的儿童。在实践中的人，迷失在理论与现实当中。
质朴干净 轻松温馨的黑白小品
威尔·史密斯的表演确实加分，至于颇受争议的教育理念，你看人家孩子都没什么大意见
强调下，讲的是大小威姐妹的父亲，应该看这个男人为他的孩子们做了什么，是如何做到的。假设仅关注体育明星的历史，那就差劲儿多了。看他如何训练孩子，如何避开商业化，如何坚定不移，如何做梦。另说，威尔一定是入戏太深没出来，他那一巴掌简直就是理查德先生附体。因为这一掌，才看的本片。有孩子的父母可以看看，可以参考参考。
是那种好看的电影，尤其是人家姐俩是真的强。最后选择的那场比赛也有些心思。
把人和场景放进视图、人和矛盾放进时间，成功描述人之“身处”之后，自然而然就体会到内心了。
6.9.绝不是网球版《摔跤吧爸爸》。故事别出心裁的将重心放在了大威小威的父亲理查德威廉姆斯身上，对其性格特点和高瞻远瞩进行了细致入微而又不失真实的刻画，加上威尔史密斯堪称影帝级的《当幸福来敲门》式的表演，使本片作为一部传记片已经成功了一大半。第三幕居然选取了一场失败的比赛作为ending也算是不落俗套。美中不足在于篇幅较长的家庭戏码使影片显得拖沓和沉闷，种族议题也并不深刻，对父女之间的冲突也没有深入描写导致略显失真。
Joaquin Phoenix的舅舅身上完全看不到丝毫小丑的影子，黑白镜头下的洛杉矶温柔、浪漫、美丽得像首诗一样，其他城市也展现出了别样的气质。摄影的运镜非常的subtle，贴合本片的气质。因为男主的职业与录音有关，本片声效也做得非常的细致。小男孩受其音乐家父亲的影响，喜欢古典音乐，所以包括德彪西的《月光》在内的古典音乐被多次运用，当然Dessner两兄弟的原创配乐也非常优秀，A24已经给它们制成唱片了。美术方面运用了非常多的pattern和非常多的set dressing丰富了小男孩和妈妈生活的家。正是这些丰富的线条材质让他们家即使在黑白镜头下显现出了层次感。当然，这个家按理来说并不大，所以摄影师用了很多镜面来让这个空间显得更加的丰富。
“没有人尊重过理查德，但他们会尊重你们”
华纳的新片头好丑啊，以前不是只有动画片才用吗…小威在这部作品里被完全边缘化了。一个充满矛盾的虎父，规划大师，扫兴专业户，把自私和控制欲包装成爱心和善意，对他的评价其实完全取决于两个女儿的成功与否，赢者通吃，胜者为王。结尾的反高潮设计不错。拍黑人女性的成长史大概是目前好莱坞最保险的题材了。
Be Alive响起时热泪盈眶，碧神局总是有魔力
As a fan of Sharapova’s from the good ol’ times I remember the fear of seeing Queen S’s name on Maria’s next round. Man that ain’t no rivalry, ‘twas slaughtering. I wish I could see one of those matches once more, where the Williams Sisters dominated them courts, where the opponents were destroyed by their first serve. Man, ‘twas golden.
有些影评家要搞明白，这部电影就是在讲述大小V父亲的故事，他才是主角。他就是想借由女儿成就自己的教育国王名号。
平乏的体育片，无力深入灵魂的人物传记。一切只停留在动机的表层。电影结构也非常不高明地投机取巧。传奇序幕草草收场。理查德也未留下更值得的记忆点。
我们总想看到自己想看到的东西。
美式鸡娃教育励志片，手法过于老套，表演也就史皇正常水准啊
中规中矩的名人传记，角度有些巧妙，避开了正面写大小威的成长史，而是对准了她们那个鸡娃的爹，感慨于欲戴王冠，必承其重，放之四海而皆准，但电影也说了出人头地更重要的一些因素：做人要稳，路子要野！
