The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 从座头市、浪客剑心、黄河大侠甚至西部片中各种拿来，汇聚成了这个简单直接、短小精悍、狠辣酷爽的故事，撇去制作的粗糙，好歹还原了纯正武侠片的快意恩仇、正气凛然、热血沸腾乃至徐克电影的借古喻今，在网大中真的算难得。为老魏的初心多加一颗星。
3.一些影像的构图十分具有电影美感。反派弑兄时，通过幕布剪影展现了这画面，然后幕布破碎，反派恶狠狠而残忍的眼神出现了。
故事虽弱点，但摄影、配乐、打斗都是顶级，游戏既视感
成乙用酒祭刀，火刀乍现，不禁感叹，好狠的瞎子。
3.5星！瞎子看不见人，但用心看，文英看得见人，但却无心。一个短平快的，干净利落的侠隐于世，见义而勇的故事。
谢苗回来了，很棒，出乎所料。没有接烂片浪费自己的声誉，这反而使他更为沉淀，厚积薄发！
问题多到已懒得一一细数，但我毕竟还是从头到尾看完了，作者还是用了心的，高分鼓励，武侠不死。
没脑的少年很可怕，也很好骗······当然也很短命·······
剧情恰到好处，武侠爽片，就是语文英太菜了。老一波武术明星打不动了，该谢苗了
有被爽到！太久没有这么让人嗨的电影了，上一部是[绣春刀]。
电影的氛围营造很好，中式《赏金猎人》外传。故事简单，风格写意，无论服化亦或武打设计都很用心，场面调度与摄影都带着浓浓的「江湖气」，那种快意恩仇的洒脱。谢苗亦是褪去记忆中的少年稚气多了几分沧桑，有点《座头市》意思了。（美中不足的是画面质感与色调处理可再雕琢一下，不然可三星）
近几年最好的大陆动作电影。有拍成系列的潜质
故事是很老套啦，但是武侠味满浓，服化道也用心了
女主半分灵气也无，流水线女女演员
不要什么大道理，不要炫酷特效，不要什么俊男美女弹琴说爱，老子就要用刀剑拳脚，讨一个公道！
这个动作戏的水准是有的，但是剧本太弱了，人设没立起来
故事弱了点。但可见出导演野心和潜力都不小。前后风格处理不一致，有精彩段落，成篇控制力稍差。国产武指和意境营造不错，特地加1星以资鼓励。
节奏打斗场景构图光影都很不错。就是可惜了琵琶女
打斗场面让人看得爽，果然离不开魏君子制片。
