The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 台词诗意，影片戏剧化，并不是拍莎翁的要领。
表现主义的重现契合麦克白暴君性的一面，可电影的优点也仅限于此。
基本看不出科恩兄弟的影子，看完之后发现只有乔尔的署名。摄影上佳（虽然有几个地方让我觉得在模仿黑泽明），布景有特色，其余无甚新意。选角和表演令人失望，影帝影后发挥平平，Washington发怒的样子让我想起街头见过的磕嗨的黑人老头，Macduff的演员简直是灾难。电影本身质量其实还行，但我非常失望。

舞台剧即视感，女巫造型满分，大段的台词看起来有些吃力，摄影特别讲究。

预言的种子埋在心里，等到发芽，结果，再凋落，重新再来一遍，一遍遍的循环往复，既是自证预言，又是悲剧重演。高级的对话，高级的影像风格，不愧是A24出品的，就是与众不同，很多场景都让人过目不忘，真高级。
7.5/10 「It is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, Signifying nothing. 」剪輯與鏡頭表現補充細節，光影處理劇場感十足。
照搬罢了，即使配上了顶级的演员和绝妙的摄影，精巧的置景，这依然是照搬。

原想会是又一部让人哈欠不断的电影，其实不然，整个电影的节奏出奇的好，莎士比亚的台词基础太好。导演和A24的合作很风格化，除此之外，看到了词条里15年法鲨主演的麦克白，大概现在改变这类文学作品都得向着极端风格化改编吧，这样一对比创意成分倒是没有那么加分了

嗯……其实并不理解，选择这种形式，为何又选择这些演员？
极简的表现主义，麦克白较中规中矩的一次影像呈现。但作为科恩本人的重大突破，风格化（包括剧情的演绎）当然是成功的

與其吃力不討好地仿古，拍成科恩兄弟擅長的黑色喜劇不是更有意思嗎？
感觉熟悉麦克白文本的朋友会喜欢（当然没能绕开翻拍莎士比亚现代化文本过程中如何保持不失度的难题）片子自己定位也准确，就完全冲了形式亮点去了，有点现代戏剧版德国表现主义的意思，像是一场3d戏剧的试验录像。
