The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 一个纨绔子弟的成“士”之路，要看懂其中的隐喻象征、考验关卡，势必要了解原著故事及相关背景（或看别人的解读）。导演的改编依然注重形式，并没有什么新的概念或想象。有些东西并没有“为什么”，就是“设定”。影片中的章节小标题，感觉有点浪费了。另外那条出场不少的腰带，略显尬尴。
好俗烂的剧情，美国流水线式电影果然有一套公式。唯一喜欢的就是狗狗cg做的好可爱呀！

以皮兰德娄归土为楔子，寄托了还是对哥哥的思悼，穿插历史记录和对死亡的思考，对皮兰德娄遗作改编还是拉了，车厢戏影像确实厉害，看的令人舒坦
不知道是不是算传记，比较沉闷，前半部的黑白真实的展开一部葬礼的曲折。后半部的彩色仿佛是在演示逝者的这部作品，但依然是在探讨死亡的有无意义。
像在观赏记忆中的倒影，风起时漾开波纹，竟是孩童恶作剧般的搅动。光线如刻刀雕出几抹剪影，随即展开变调，肃穆的葬礼需要一把瓜子花生，歌剧拉开帷幕，滑稽剧热闹散场。
长篇叙事诗。导演野心很大，敢用亚瑟王圆桌骑士的故事玩meditation，听说借鉴了塔可夫斯基的《安德烈•卢布廖夫》，学习尚未成功，还有继续努力的空间，还可以再大胆一点。
黑白与彩色，归乡与离乡。
