The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 在看过本尼那么多电影之后，我在这部电影中突然反应过来，其实他擅长的不是演天才，而是演孤独，各种与时代格格不入的孤独。难怪他不怎么接爱情戏，两个人的爱情戏真是他的弱点，但是一个人的爱情戏却是他的强项，因为只有一个人的爱是会让人发疯的孤独。
以为爱情可以拯救幻想症患者，其实，没有什么可以拯救他，猫也不行
最后，还是“爱”最动情最伟大最深远。
一些小的细节会觉得感动和美好，虽然整体还有些不足。
审美拉满，男主角性格奇葩，和妻子的部分最是好看，好多少女感满满的画面。猫咪真的太可爱了，画作也很棒。日本人拍这个，调调喝酒镜头感真的好。
没想到原来姐姐已经去世了，姐弟情很感动，中间和罗熙的的互动也很有趣
結尾親人線有救回來，但挽回不了想給三星的心

女主给男主录磁带的时候，为了掩饰自己正在做和想让对方做的事情而改变人称来叙述的傲娇太可爱了。
大惊喜。有些画面真的是美哭了。构图有点韦斯·安德森的影子，但整体有自己独特的味道。@TIFF2021 btw导演好帅

爱情线比较虚，姐弟线姐姐早已死去是全局最大反转，父子线隐藏了妈妈和姐姐去世的秘密和父亲无法直视的过去。
画面很美，台词文艺，就是用神经质来囫囵解释全部的灵气和灵力不喜。本来令人着迷的就是难以表达的部分，留白就好了。
故事不复杂,
即使早已不相信爱情的人，也会为之动容。用漫长的余生去追忆一个人，这份爱如此艰辛，也如此幸福。故事里没有什么爱情神话，却借由一支画笔和形态各异的猫，探入爱情的至深处，直到桑榆暮景才恍悟，一切早已脱离了艺术的价值，都是早逝的发妻为他安排的替代伴侣。
