The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 没有绞肉！做作。没有女性缠绵，没有都市矫情。
故事简单，纯正西部味。乒乒乓乓一阵射…全片很爷们，没见一个娘们！
七分，天才牛仔退隐江湖与世无争善心萌动卷入恩怨阴沟翻船。
一句话的情节能拍出这种厚重感，这就是基本功。
Billy the Kid不是哪个被枪击的倒霉孩子，而是美国拓荒史上的一个传奇人物。亦侠亦匪，且枪法极快。

故事有点老旧和粗糙，枪战的场景也比较一般，不过西部片气氛，演员和音乐都挺好就不会觉得不好看，而且中间发现其实是一定会看的一个题材也是不小的惊喜。就可惜儿子实在太傻了。

非常现代的西部片拍法，那种现代社会对老西部的迷之憧憬挥散不去，反应到电影里最具象化的表现就是儿子和父亲的矛盾冲突了。不过拍法虽然是现代西部，但依旧没有创新，甚至连构图都和近几年的西部片无差。比利小子的梗玩到现在。
沾了比利小子的传奇光芒，但影片的观赏性并不强，尚且不如《大地惊雷》
美式武侠，隐居大咖。电影的氛围感营造的很好。
